Guests bid on your own auction page, the silent items close at the time you set, and your auctioneer works the room from a screen built for hammer prices and a fund-a-need. When the night ends, every guest gets one invoice and the money posts to your general ledger.
The auction money path
A bidder's card is saved when they register and nothing is charged until the auction says so. From there a dollar takes one route, whether it came from a phone at the back of the room or a paddle in the front.
A guest signs up on your public auction page and their card is saved with Stripe. Nothing is charged yet. They get a paddle number, and your staff can add a walk-up guest at the door.
Silent items take bids on the public page and email the leader when someone passes them. Live items and the fund-a-need are recorded by your staff against a paddle number on the live board.
The silent close, the auction's end time, and the Run Transactions button all feed the same settlement, so every bid-on item goes to its highest bidder the same way.
One invoice per guest for the whole night. Each line carries its own deductible portion, which is what they paid above the item's value.
The card on file is charged. A guest with no card, or a card that declines, gets an emailed pay link that opens a payment page with no login, and their invoice stays open until they pay it.
